Raven has his new “Dogleggs”, no more tshirt!

Finally, his custom Dogleggs for Amputees came. It has neoprene inserts in the sleeve to protect that elbow that is prone to pressure ulcer. Stylin’ now!

Raven always loves laying upside down, I call it his Dead Spider. Pre-op:

And now, back to his old self:

Here’s a video of him sleeping upside down, oops, woke him up.

Here’s a video of him hopping around the yard, 4 weeks post-amp. It’s not easy for him, but he’s getting around just great. At the end of the video, he’s such a poser.

Raven and I are planning on going to a Tripawds Pawty near Reno in two weeks. It’s his 9th birthday a few days after that, so we are planning to celebrate that day. I’m shopping for an affordable cake/decorated treats if anyone has suggestions! 🙂

  1. Love the pictures of Raven with his new Dogleggs top! He should be the spokesperson (spokesdawg) for Dogleggs!! I would vote for him, for sure!!! How is his elbow doing these days??

  2. You look so cool Raven! I am so jealous. If my Mom bought me something as cool as your “Dogleggs” I would wear it all the time!!!

That is totally cool someone planned a tripawd pawty just for your birthday! They know you are special!! Can’t wait to hear about the pawty and cake!! I love cake! Tell your Mom there should be peanut butter on it-I love peanut butter!! Wish we could be there to help celebrate!

  3. Peyton, I wish you could come too! More the merrier!

Angel Jake’s Mom: the pressure ulcer is healing and is now pink new skin (normally black). The Dogleggs are amazing, they really work. He wears it full time around the house/property.

  4. Also:

It’s Raven’s 9th birthday on Dec. 15, so I was planning on celebrating at the Dec. 12 meetup… I know you are all meeting the week prior, so I understand if you can’t do two weekends in a row…

*But* if you do want to come, either to Animal Ark or my house in Auburn, do any of you have Doggie Bakeries that you like? I can’t find anyone here to make a Birthday Cake for Raven and treats for the other dogs that is affordable. One single biscuit with frosting that spelled Happy Birthday was $15. I was hoping for a cake within the $30 range.

Or does anyone have a recipe to do one myself? 🙂

  5. Raven looks very “fashion and beauty” (as my 4 1/2 year old would say) in her new top. Zoe loves to sleep upside down too and it always makes me laugh. Her eyelids and lips hang funny, her ears are up…she looks a little like a bat! Have a good time at the pawty and I hope you figure out something for that cake!
